Hillcrest Villagers was once again proud to host the ThreshHold Hillcrest Marathon in June.

After a two year hiatus due to the pandemic, the streets of Hillcrest and Winston Park were once again full of runners on race day. As part of our relationship with the community, Hillcrest Villagers was once again happy to partner with Hillcrest Corner shopping centre to provide race day parking for race participants. All funds collected from the parking were then donated to a very active local charity, Careline Crisis & Trauma centre. We are very proud to have been able to do something to give back to the community and we trust that Careline will continue to thrive in its role to support the vulnerable in our community. To find out more about Careline and how you can help, please visit their website: www.carelinecrisis.org

Hillcrest Villagers Athletic Club is a vibrant local running club in the centre of Hillcrest. We have been going since 1977. We would be very happy for those interested in finding out more about the club to join us on a Thursday night when we have our time trial runs. We get underway at 17:45 in winter and 18:00 in summer. We have a warm clubhouse and a well stocked bar so feel free to come and try our 4km or 8km route and then enjoy a drink at our clubhouse. Find out more on our Facebook page or on our website at www.hillcrestvillagers.co.za.
